There are 1.4 million South East Queenslanders who rely on Urban Utilities to provide, recycle and treat their water. That’s 14,300 kilometres of water and sewer pipes, numerous facilities and assets, across five local council regions that need to be secured, each with their own separate legacy key systems.
Urban Utilities is an amalgamation of five major regional water authorities and following the creation of the utility, it was tasked with the challenge of updating the security of its water assets to create a more unified and efficient system. This ultimately meant eliminating the current legacy key systems and installing a new electro-mechanical master key system.
